About organisation:

Hello everyone, The Transfo organization is first and foremost a youth information point. We are attached to the Communauté d'Agglomération and our missions are aimed at young people. We're a place where young people can find information on a wide range of topics, such as career guidance, careers, associations, access to rights, etc., or be supported in their projects. That's why we've been eurodesk-labeled since 2016, to also support young people in their projects linked to European and international mobility.

Title of the project

European Adventure with Camille

Start date:

February 4, 2024

End date:

March 23, 2024

Source of funding:

My project concerns a game designed to present a number of mobility-related devices in a fun way. It's a simple home-made game. I didn't get a grant to make it, so I used the resources available to me.

Objectives:

The game was created for the town of Vendôme's annual "games festival". It can be categorised as a serious game, since its aim is to provide information on European mobility. We've only used it once so far, but it's been a success for us, because in the week that followed we had phone calls from young people wanting to find out more about the mobility schemes they'd just heard about. Game Objective : Your mission is to accompany Camille in her mobility project by helping her navigate through the different stages of her journey.Instructions : The game is based on an interactive PowerPoint with buttons that will guide Camille through her European adventure. Each button represents a decision or a crucial step in her journey. It's up to you to choose wisely to ensure Camille's success.

Why does it correspond to the thematic category:

This project can compete in the creative information for young people category because, as a youth information officer and multiplier, that was my objective from the outset: to create a game, something fun that would get young people involved while giving them information on mobility issues. "European Adventure with Camille" provides an innovative approach to raise awareness among players about European mobility programmes. By making informed decisions throughout the game, participants learn in an engaging and interactive manner, understanding the numerous benefits of mobility in Europe. Ready to help Camille succeed in her mobility project? Embark on this enriching adventure now!

The impact the initiative had on young people and the local community:

This initiative enabled us to communicate information on mobility to young people in a fun and easy way. We've had a positive impact and will continue to use this tool to inform young people.

How it ensured the visibility and promotion of Eurodesk:

The game is built around an interactive powerpoint featuring the eurodesk logo. To ensure that the game runs smoothly, we also use eurodesk documents and flyers as well as the French youth information network.

How it respected the green principles:

The project is a simple game that can be transported using a USB key, and the documents used to run the game are laminated so that they can be reused without having to be reprinted each time they are used.
