Our objectives were to ensure that young people from rural areas are well-informed and better equipped to advocate for their needs, contribute positively to their communities, and pursue opportunities that align with their aspirations and talents. Access to accurate, relevant, and timely information allows youth to navigate challenges related to education, employment, health, and social relationships. By providing a solid foundation of knowledge, we implemented a mobile info tour with youth information through rural areas to provide on-the-spot information about youth opportunities and help bridge gaps in understanding, fostering independence, critical thinking, and active citizenship.
By incorporating an oldtimer as an attractive info mobile stand for youth informing, we combined methods of storytelling, visuals, and hands-on activities to ensure the information is not only informative but also inspiring and relevant to their lives and needs. By bringing on-the-spot information and providing access to opportunities for rural youth, we aimed to ensure that these opportunities benefit them personally and professionally. Our target audience was youth aged 15-30, including those with fewer opportunities, from rural places in the Istria region, Croatia – villages such as Salakovci, Bartići, Gora Glušići, and Tunarica. The visibility of the Eurodesk network was ensured through media announcements and the use of the Eurodesk logo on promotional materials, visuals, and videos for social networks. Our oldtimer Fiat 126 also carried a large Eurodesk sign to ensure maximum visibility.
