During the Eurodesk action period of "Time to Move" we organized a pub quiz for young people around the topics of travelling, Europe and mobility. The event was held at the Gleisgarten in Vienna together with Quizmanufaktur, who provided the questions for the quiz and also the moderation for the event. The main prize for the winning group was a voucher for an escape room.

How does this initiative (project, event, material) correspond to the thematic category
Sometimes a simple info session is maybe not so appealing for everyone.. Thats why we wanted to reach out to young people with a creative and nonformal approach and tell them about the opportunities that EU fundings and projects can hold for them. So the central event was the pubquiz but around that we informed people about our youth information centre and about volunteering with the ESC or creating your own solidarity projects. Also we wanted them to have a good time and think about some questions around Europe in the nonformal atmosphere of the Gleisgarten which is a foodmarket with different bars and restaurants in a former train station.

How did your project impact young people / your community?
24 young people came to our pubquiz and took part in it. Before the quiz started, we greeted all the participants and also introduced the ESC opportunities for young people shortly. During the quiz the groups were very involved in thinking about the questions together and finding the correct answers. We invited all of them to non-alcoholic drinks while the quiz was going on, also to make the event more accessible to young people in difficult economic situations.
