Why the project was: empowering young people, adapting to changing realities, or thinking out of the box:
Our project was empowering young people by many means: -a group of 5 young people aged 23-25 wrote their own application under our supervision and obtained their first grant 10 000 PLN; -they conducted workshops in schools, university circles and NGOs about project management, European Youth Programmes (like Erasmus+, ECS) and mobility, for 1074 young people in Wielkopolska region; -they organised a competition for youth for the best idea of their own project, in accordance with the Project Based Learning method, which was attended by 104 people; -they conducted 4 workshops on running your own business in Poland for refugees from Ukraine aged 18-30, who were forced by the war to find themselves on an unfamiliar labour market. In addition, during the classes at schools, they conducted surveys among students, checking their opinion on the acquisition of skills useful in running a business and creating their own initiatives during school education. Finally, as a result the aforementioned initiative group of 5 young people aged 23-25 established their own new youth NGO, together with them we attended NGO fair NGO-EXPO in October 2022 in Kielce, 1 youth social and business idea was run with crowdfunding campaign, and together with them we won Time To Move campaign in Poland.
How the project was inclusive:
The whole project was run by young people for their part and input in #TimeToMove2022 campaign plus Eurodesk activity. During the Eurodesk workshops in schools, university circles and NGOs, we were providing information and tools for project management, European Youth Programmes (like Erasmus +, ECS) and mobility. Also, the whole project was part of our European Year of Youth activities. So Eurodesk and Time To Move logos and graphics could have been seen in our promotional activities (mailing to schools, university circles and NGOs, infopack of the project), during workshops and events (Eurodesk roll ups, banners) and in social media (as @eurodesk and #eurodesk, #timetomove). Finally, as a result the aforementioned initiative group of 5 young people aged 23-25 established their own new youth NGO, together with them we attended the NGO fair NGO-EXPO in October 2022 in Kielce, and together with them we won the Time To Move campaign in Poland.
Green aspect:
With more than 75% of all schools, university circles and NGOs enrolled in the project, even in the rural areas, we managed to travel by public transport or by bike. All documentation was printed on paper recycled from waste paper (eco-paper). During the Eurodesk workshops we did not use any paper with the youth - we were using only digital tools, presentations, Mentimeter, QR codes, Kahoot games. Even our informational stickers used in the foundation are ecological - they are electrostatic, without glue plus you can electrify them and they can be used several times.
