Robert Helm-Pleuger has been active in the field of International Youth Work since the early 1990’s.

In his starting years he was active in the scout movement as participant, youth leader and volunteer in youth exchanges with different European countries, South America and Southern Africa.

Since 2001 Robert Helm-Pleuger has been working for the International Youth Service of the Federal Republic of Germany – IJAB and for more than 20 Years he is responsible as national coordinator for Eurodesk in Germany.

Since 2020 Robert is head of the department of Information on International Youth Work and Youth Policy at IJAB and since then he is member of the Executive Committee of Eurodesk on European level.
