Why does it correspond to the thematic category:

The RECALIBUR project resonates with the Youth Inclusion and Diversity Award by actively promoting inclusion and celebrating diversity among young people. Through its exploration of ecopsychology principles and the fostering of connections to communities and the environment via creative expressions, the initiative ensures that information about European opportunities reaches a broad spectrum of young individuals. This approach is particularly significant for including marginalized or underrepresented groups who may have been disproportionately affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. By enhancing non-formal education approaches and providing empirical evidence of effectiveness, RECALIBUR empowers youth workers to adapt to evolving engagement needs, thereby increasing accessibility to opportunities for diverse youth. Moreover, the project's commitment to piloting new approaches, integrating digital and residential learning, and showcasing results through online platforms demonstrates a comprehensive strategy to address diverse youth needs and ensure that the benefits of the initiative are widely accessible and inclusive.

The impact the initiative had on young people and the local community:

How it ensured the visibility and promotion of Eurodesk:

EduEra's promotion strategy focused on expanding Eurodesk Slovakia reach to both NGOs and young people. Through promotional campaigns, events, and partner collaborations, we raised awareness of Eurodesk services, with a particular emphasis on promoting EÚ opportunities. Direct engagement at youth events, workshops, and conferences ensured that young people were informed about Eurodesk's offerings. We disseminated information through diverse channels, including distributing promotional materials to youth centers, schools, and community organizations. By integrating Eurodesk promotion into the ReCalibur project, we showcased the benefits of EU opportunities to a wide audience, demonstrating a strategic and inclusive approach to reaching young people across Slovakia.

How it respected the green principles:

In our project ReCalibur, we integrated principles of ecopsychology, emphasizing the connection with nature. To align with Eurodesk's green principles, we prioritized environmentally friendly practices throughout our activities. We minimized paper usage by utilizing digital communication and promotional materials whenever feasible, thereby reducing waste and carbon footprint. Furthermore, we promoted sustainable transportation methods among participants, encouraging options like public transportation or carpooling to minimize emissions from travel. By incorporating these green practices, we aimed to not only foster a deeper connection with nature but also demonstrate our commitment to environmental responsibility in line with Eurodesk's values.
